Kindergarten- Days of the week

The teacher will teach the students a “Days of the Week” song put to the tune of the Addam’s Family theme song using a video on youtube.com: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPzIbbvoiMA

 

The teacher will play the video and help by leading the students the first couple of time with the video.

The teacher will then stop playing the video and have the students sing along with her. The class will do this together a couple of times.

The teacher will then ask if any of the students believe they can do it all by themselves for the class, if there are volunteers, allow several to attempt it.

The teacher will then put the class into pairs. The teacher will then pass out seven index cards with the days of the week written on them. The pairs must then practice putting them in order as quickly as they can. They can shuffle them and try again after the first time.

The teacher will then have everyone return to their desks and the class will sing the song one more time.
